Algorithms and Technology

DYNAMIKA incorporates algorithms optimised for post-processing and analysis of MR series, such as qualitative and quantitative evaluation and interpretation, including estimation of various inflammation related parameters, assessment of the pattern of contrast agent uptake, and visualisation of the activation events.

Main functionality of the software includes:

  • DICOM DCE-MRI data reading and viewing
  • Slice based and volume based data display allows easy and fast data assessment

Correction for patient motion caused by breathing  or shivering

Efficient algorithms reduce the motion artifacts present in dynamic 2D and 3D sequences, which contributes to the data fidelity and delivers images of much higher quality, especially acquired with low field scanners.

Data manipulation functionality

With DYNAMIKA, the data can be thoroughly explored and analysed. Using image manipulation techniques, some frames can be taken out allowing for the more robust analysis and the reduction of the number of referrals.

Regions of Interest based analysis

DYNAMIKA incorporates traditional and innovative ways of data analysis, which include computer guided region-of-interest method, automated calculation of Relative Enhancement and Rate of Early Enhancement, Contrast Uptake Time adjustment, and real time Region of Interest analysis.

Quantitative pixel-by-pixel analysis and parameter maps analysis with Model Based Method

Efficient segmentation algorithms allow separation of different tissues of interest, in particular synovial tissue and oedema. DYNAMIKA delivers easy to interpret parametric and contrast inflow maps, where disease affected areas are colour-coded according to the degree of perfusion. Visual and statistical results show the morphology and perfusion of the tissues. This fully automated method reduces the observer’s influence on diagnostic decision and provides 100% reproducibility of the results.

Pixel-by-pixel processing and visualisation

DYNAMIKA can be used to perform pixel-by-pixel analyse of DCE-MRI data in the standard clinical and research environments. There is no need for manual region-of-interest selection or image subtraction to score and interpret the data. The pixel-by-pixel analysis is performed in a fully-automated, robust and 100% repeatable manner.
